My Story

When I completed my Master’s degree, I was excited to embark in a career in the non-profit sector, focusing on directly working with clients. However, there was a complication. I had substantial student loans and fundraising positions offered better compensation. I recognized I would need to learn the art of raising the vital resources every nonprofit relies upon in order to eventually advance to a management-level position. So, why not launch my career in a development position?

My short-term career objective turned into my long-term passion. I have had an incredible and accomplished professional journey, working for decades as a Chief Development Officer. In this role, working in conjunction with amazing professional and volunteer teams, I have assisted the non-profits with whom I have worked, strengthened community, and made a profound difference in people's lives. I have had the privilege of being on this journey and I look forward to the next rewarding chapter.

My Passions

  • Leveraging my expertise to empower non-profits to achieve their missions to the fullest.

  • Collaborating with donors to help them establish meaningful connections with the non-profit’s mission and experience the profound satisfaction and fulfillment that comes from giving.

  • Mentoring and guiding non-profit teams and professionals, enabling them to attain organizational and personal objectives, excel in their present roles, and foster continuous growth in their careers.

These passions are what ultimately guided the creation of Raising the Resources. As a fractional Chief Development Officer, I will be dedicating my time, expertise, and attention to only one or two non-profits at a time while they conduct a search for their next Chief Development Officer. I will embed myself in each organization in collaboration with the incredible volunteers, donors, and professional teams to work together to bring a non-profit's mission to fruition.
