Dr. Flint W. Fowler PhD

President and CEO

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis is in a stronger and more financially stable position today because of Ruth Lederman's leadership of its Resource Development’s efforts. For nearly a decade Ruth used her skills and experience to elevate the Club to a "non-profit of choice" for donors across the St. Louis region.

She successfully worked with professional staff and volunteers to grow the agency's budget and endowment which were both below $4 million to a robust $11 million and $14 million respectively. In addition, we successfully completed a $25 million campaign to open the Teen Center of Excellence in Ferguson, MO and expanded our programs to youth in north St. Louis County.

While these fundraising accomplishments are impressive, Ruth also has many other attributes. Ruth is mission-focused, strategic, and has the wonderful ability to foster fruitful relationships with others. I appreciate that she works to make everyone successful, and to ensure that her team is fully engaged in all aspects of the resource development process through mentoring and encouragement.

It's hard for me to imagine how the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis could have achieved so many of its goals without Ruth Lederman at the helm of the Resource Development department. She is a consummate professional who consistently delivers positive results. As President I can say without hesitation that hiring Ruth was one of the smartest decisions I have made. The respect we have for each other created a wonderful bond that yielded great results.
